About Healthylicious

Since 2013, Healthylicious has been inspiring people to cook and enjoy good food. Founded and run by Stefania Calleja, our kitchen welcomes food lovers of all abilities to develop new skills, explore fresh flavours, and create lasting memories.

We’re more than just a cooking school – our mission is to change the way people think about healthy eating. By placing food at the heart of everything we do, we blend cooking, nutrition, food resource management, and sustainability to give you the confidence and know-how to prepare meals that are both delicious and nourishing. We also believe that food has the power to connect people and turn simple kitchen moments into memorable experiences.

Our hands-on classes are fun, interactive, and inspiring. We offer a wide variety of culinary adventures – from 3-hour public classes for adults to our popular children’s summer programme, as well as private, tailor-made events. There’s truly something for everyone.

We also collaborate with businesses to deliver dynamic corporate experiences, including team-building events, culinary nutrition workshops, and consultancy on food innovation.

Healthylicious is a registered non-formal education provider (Reg. No. 11967).

About the Managing Director
& Cooking Tutor

Stefania Calleja is a Home Economist, culinary educator, TV chef, and food consultant dedicated to making healthy eating exciting and accessible. She founded Healthylicious in 2013 to share her love of cooking and nutrition through hands-on, practical food experiences.

With a background that blends academic achievement and professional culinary training, Stefania holds a Bachelor of Education (2012) in Nutrition, Family, and Consumer Studies, a Master’s degree in Education (2022) focusing on culinary and nutrition education, and additional training from renowned schools including Demuths, Jamie Oliver Cookery School, Raymond Blanc Cookery School, Sauce at The Langham, Gordon Ramsay Academy, as well as professional stages at Galvin in London and ION Harbour by Simon Rogan.

Since 2017, she has become a familiar face on Maltese television, appearing on shows such as FLiving Show, Għand il-Vegan, Illum ma’ Steph, Ninvestigaw X’Qed Nieklu, and Niskata. She also works as a trusted food consultant, supporting supermarkets and suppliers in developing and marketing new food products.

Beyond her work in media and consultancy, Stefania serves as Chairperson of Home Economists in Action (HEiA) and as a visiting assistant lecturer at the University of Malta, training future teachers and dietitians in food education, culinary skills, and applied nutrition. She also lectures at the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS), teaching Food Science and Technology to students enrolled in the BA in Culinary Arts, and at Healthmark Academy, where she teaches nutrition to healthcare professionals.

Her relaxed and approachable teaching style, shaped by years of professional and educational experience, leaves those attending her courses not only with newly developed cooking skills but also with a newfound confidence in the kitchen.

“My mission is to educate just how simple and tasty nourishing food can be.”

About the Venue

Our fully-equipped, air-conditioned teaching kitchen is located inside Saint Elias College, right in the heart of Santa Venera. Bright and welcoming, it’s designed to feel just like home – an informal and friendly space for cooking, far from the sterile atmosphere of a commercial kitchen.

The kitchen comfortably accommodates up to 25 participants, with dedicated spaces for both cooking and dining. There are four individual kitchenettes, each equipped with a generous food preparation area, cooker, sink, and all the essential tools and equipment you’ll need.

We are committed to making our classes accessible to everyone. Adjustments can be made to support wheelchair users, those with physical impairments, sensory disabilities, different learning needs, and other conditions. Simply let us know in advance so we can ensure a smooth and comfortable experience. Facilities include both standard and semi-ambulant WCs, located just a few steps from the kitchen. Street parking is available, and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible.

Additional spaces within Saint Elias College – including classrooms, meeting rooms, a hall, a gym, an outdoor roof garden, and a turfed yard – are also available for hire at an extra cost. For larger groups or tailored events – such as outdoor cooking adventures – we can provide alternative venues to create the ideal setting for your culinary experience.
